Fragsters have advanced to the playoffs at DreamHack Open Valencia 2018 after defeating Luminosity 16-9 on Inferno.

Luminosity and Fragsters squared off in the Group B winners' match after triumphing in their opening matches against G2 and Virtus.pro, respectively. The game between the Brazilians and the Danes took place on Inferno with Fragsters on the T-side.

Luminosity secured the first two rounds but Fragsters hit back in the third round with an early weapon round. Following a five round streak by the Danes, Luminosity picked up the eighth round of the game off the back of Gustavo "yeL" Knittel's triple kill as his team trailed 5-3.

Fragsters are through to the playoffs

Luminosity's economy was damaged in the following round when Fragsters took the B-site to extend their lead to 6-3 and the Danes went on to win the first half 11-4. The Brazilian squad found success in the early stages of their T-side campaign, winning the pistol and anti-eco rounds (11-7).

Luminosity trailed 11-8 after grabbing the first weapon round. Following one more round loss, Fragsters found their groove and won two rounds thanks to Martin "stavn" Lund. Fragsters closed out the match with a 16-9 victory and advanced to the playoffs at DreamHack Open Valencia 2018.

Actual G2 is awful. If this rostef achiev something, it will be unexpected. Sad for KennyS though
2018-07-12 20:37
They are not awful, though. They had a good showing in Cologne, but they will need more time and I don't think this is the final roster. After the Major, I can see them adding someone else for bodyy.

Indeed. I even thought they'd win the whole tournament. But apparently v4lde from North decided to carry his whole team.
