Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson is NiP's newest in-game leader, the Swedish organisation have confirmed.
The 25-year-old will take over the mantle from Dennis "dennis" Edman, who had been the team's IGL since his arrival, in February, when he replaced Richard "Xizt" Landström in the line-up.
The move follows NiP's dismal run at ESL One Cologne, where the team went out after just two matches, picking up a total of 11 rounds from three maps.
It was only Lekr0's second event with the Ninjas following his move from fnatic, last month; the first one had been the CS:GO Asia Championship, where the Swedes had placed 5th-6th.
In an interview with Dot Esports, dennis noted that Lekr0 "is doing a really good job" and stressed that the team "have been playing pretty well."
Lekr0 will have a baptism of fire in the new role as he will be guiding the team at the Europe Minor, which will kick off on Thursday. The Swedish side will be eyeing a top-two placing in London as they look to attend their first Major in two years.
