FlipSid3 have announced an overhaul of their Counter-Strike team as Georgi "⁠WorldEdit⁠" Yaskin and Igor "⁠lollipop21k⁠" Solodkov have been placed on the transfer list, while Andrey "⁠B1ad3⁠" Gorodenskiy has taken up a coaching position.

This leaves FlipSid3 with just two starting players, Yegor "⁠markeloff⁠" Markelov and Jan "⁠wayLander⁠" Rahkonen, who "will return to competition in full force along with three new members following the FACEIT Major", according to the North American organisation.

The announcement comes after a period of inactivity from the team, who have attended just one LAN event in 2018, the ELEAGUE Major Boston, where they were eliminated in the New Challengers Stage with Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin acting as a stand-in.

B1ad3 steps down as player to coach the team

WorldEdit and B1ad3 have been on FlipSid3's ranks since 2015, when the organisation secured the services of dAT Team. During this period, F3 attended eight Majors, peaking with a top-eight finish at ESL One Cologne 2016 after knocking out NiP.

lollipop21k was the team's latest recruit, having been signed from GoodJob in April. He is heading towards the FlipSid3 exit door without having attended a single LAN tournament with the team, though he managed to impress online with an average 1.18 rating.

With these changes, FlipSid3 currently have:

Most coaches (including Kane) have achieved jack shit. B1ad3 might be a disaster of a player now, but he's the reason the CIS scene is as strong as is it, having taught the tactical side of the game to both of Na'Vi's stars and some more great players in the past. This guy is a fucking abysmal player but in terms of purely a coaching role he might just be the most legendary player in CS history. Pretty damn sure he deserves to coach any team, too bad there are language barriers.

No shit, but he sure as hell got a lot better. Not to mention you never stop learning, why do you think he fit into Zeus's system so quick and became a superstar? Obviously his own talent, but it's a common trait among any star player that has played with B1ad3, go into any new team and fit in like a star player, whereas most star players are only the star on one team, then they fail to be afterwards. Being able to understand a wide variety of tactical systems is an extremely important trait to have, otherwise you can't play in every type of system and therefore will be useless to most teams as a player.

WayLander is consistently a good player. He has never bottom fragged and is usually either 1st or second on the leaderboard. I know kills don't mean everything in a round but without VODs of some of these games it is hard to tell the impact he had. Though on VODs I can catch of the team, WayLander is pretty good at entry fragging. Usually getting the first pick multiple rounds in a row.

Pardon? WayLander has been horrible throughout the two years he spent with the team. A couple of good online games against t5 teams doesn't change any of that. He was by far the worst Flipsid3' player in pretty much every event they attended, even online (not counting Blade individually)

He was their best player in Cologne 2016, was bad in Eleague Atlanta 2017, inconsistant at PGL Krakow but stepped up bigtime when it mattered the most, he was arguably their second best player after electronic.

OK, I admit he actually did well at two of the three majors he attended with Flipsid3, Cologne and Krakow. Still, these two were pretty much the only occasions in which he played good. He was horrible online even against weak teams, disappeared against good teams on LAN (one good series against NIP changes nothing) and he was really bad even on lower tier LANs. Pretty much the only event besides majors (and qualifiers) he has a positive rating on is Dreamhack Leipzig, where even Blad3 finished with over 1,15+ event rating, so you can really see the opposition there. A below-average player during his time with Flipsid3 at the very best.

Excited to see b1ad3 as coach, it was way overdue. Don't understand the reasoning behind releasing WorldEdit and lollipop and keeping markeloff. Only makes sense if he is back to a support role. Maybe they pick up the leftovers from Vega to make the major qualifier?

they're obviously freeing WorldEdit & lollipop as a good gesture as they're the only ones that can have some sort of future in CS still, while markeloff, waylander and blad3 are done and dusted and will live out the rest of their careers in this dead team

Markeloff started to play bad when he picked awp, before that he was good servicable support player. If they get some fraggers team will be fine.

WorldEdit might do well on a team like Gambit. Give him some freedom, he's a great AWPer when he wants to be, but I think B1ad3 had him on a tight leach.

But Mou is already in Gambit as an awper. So WorldEdit should replaces Mir but I don't think he is better... Dosia should out or WorldEdit goes other team?

I was thinking Vega players would transfer to F3, but WE and lollipop21k seems more reasonable. They are still great fraggers and would get a shot at major. F3 continues with waylander and markeloff with some talents, maybe ax1le and n0rb3r7

I don’t think blad3 will be able to coach well, with all of the restrictions on coaches and stuff he can’t do what he used to do which is to talk to his team all the time, hence why they didn’t take pauses in games. Shame to see this team change, also to see lollipop be transfer listed so soon because he looked like a decent young talent. I’d expect to see maybe n0rbert in the lineup since he was playing out of his mind in their ESEA matches.
