Renegades to FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage over Tainted Minds

Renegades have beaten Tainted Minds 2-0 at the Asia Minor to secure their place at the FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage (16-9 on Train and 16-3 on Overpass).

The consolidation final at the Asia Minor featured Renegades and Tainted Minds who fought for a spot at the FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage. Train was the first map and the T-sided Renegades took the pistol round as Karlo "USTILO" Pivac found two opening kills.

Following two anti-eco wins by Renegades, Tainted Minds secured the first weapon round and then tied the game at 3-3. Justin "jks" Savage' team reclaimed the lead and won seven more rounds in the first half to finish it 10-5 ahead.

Renegades are going to the Major

Renegades secured the first two rounds in the second half but Tainted Minds responded with an early buy in the third round and won it with 2vs2 post plant victory. Yaman "yam" Ergenekon's team managed to get to nine rounds but couldn't get any more as Renegades won the map 16-9 off the back of a four-round streak.

The match continued on Overpass where Renegades started on the CT-side. jks & Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad clutched a 2vs4 in the pistol round and they made it 2-0 with an anti-eco win. Tainted Minds bought early and picked up the third round.

After Tainted Minds tied the game at 2-2, Renegades got eight consecutive round to lead 10-2. USTILO & company led 12-3 at halftime. Renegades won the map 16-3 and the series 2-0, qualifying for the FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage. jks's team have one more match to go as they will take on TYLOO in the grand final at the Asia Minor.

Would be fun to see Renegades compete in an environment with actual competition, and not against teams ranked #69, #97 etc (=
