OGA Counter PIT announced with $40,000 prize pool

The online tournament will take place during the first two weeks of August, with 10 teams set to participate.

One Game Agency, the company that hosted two seasons of Counter Pit in 2015 and 2016, returns to Counter-Strike with a $40,000 tournament. The competition will take place on August 1-15, which overlaps with the official player break, resulting in a somewhat lower level of competition.

AGO are the favorites to win OGA Counter PIT

AGO are the biggest name on the team list, currently 27th in our rankings, with the likes of EURONICS and ALTERNATE aTTaX among the participants as well. Adding some flair will be the Brazilian squad Sharks, currently residing in Europe.

The full team list is available below:

August 1-3 is reserved for Group A matches, Group B will be played out on August 5-8, with the group stage format being round-robin BO1. Only one team from each group will be eliminated in the group stage, leading up to a double-elimination BO3 playoff bracket, which starts on August 9. The tournament will conclude on August 15 with a BO3 grand final. All matches will be broadcasted on the OGA Counter PIT Twitch channel.

The $40,000 prize pool will be distributed the following way:

1. $18,000
2. $10,000
3. $7,200
4. $4,800

They are on vacation afaik
2018-07-31 20:20
Well if they were invited they would have taken the invite 90% so...
2018-07-31 20:22
And you are basing this on...?
2018-07-31 20:33
WELL.... i am basing it on the fact that emi said on the tv that they want to play on as much tournaments as they can so they get much exp. that could mean nothing but idk Do you have some insight mr Zvonimir
2018-07-31 20:37
My insight is that TO's always want to have someone ranked #47 instead of someone ranked #97 in their tournaments. I'm confident they reached out to Valiance and a bunch of other teams that turned them down because... it's the player break.
2018-07-31 20:41
ah ok ty for clearing stuff out <3
2018-07-31 20:41
wow teams like sharks, nordavind, fnc acc and pro100 but no teams like VALIANCE,Fragsters,Imperial....
2018-07-31 20:17
who knows who made decision regarding it, these teams or organizer, players might have decided to take time off as it is player break anyway xd...
