BOOT-d[S] upset Gambit; TyLoo defeat Grayhound in Shanghai

IEM Shanghai continued with Group B action as BOOT-d[S] shocked Gambit with a 16-12 victory on Train and TYLOO defeated Grayhound 16-10 on Cache.

The Group B opening match featuring Gambit and BOOT-d[S] kicked off on Train with the Singaporeans on the T-side. Nevin "splashske" Aw and Anthony "ImpressioN" Lim opened up the pistol round as BOOT-d[S] went 1-0 ahead but Gambit hit back in the following round to tie the game.

Abay "HObbit" Khasenov's team led 3-1 before the next weapon round which they lost as Leslie "Bobosaur" Soen got a double kill. BOOT-d[S] reclaimed the lead and got to seven rounds but Gambit finished the first half ahead by taking the last four rounds (8-7).

BOOT-d[S] have won their first game

Things looked much better for the CIS team after they won the pistol and the anti-eco rounds at the start of the second half to make it 11-7. BOOT-d[S] responded with five rounds in a row thanks to their strong defense, leading 12-11.

Gambit then tied the game at 12-12 with Rustem "mou" Telepov's double kill in the 24th round. However, that was the last round they picked up and BOOT-d[S] went on to win the map 16-12, moving on to the winners’ match at IEM Shanghai.

Gambit is one of my favorite teams, but now its obvious, that they need a change. I think Adren and Dosia should retire and move to coaching position, they both are too lazy to be active players, unfortunately.
