iGame.com release three players

iGame.com released three of its five players after the team put together in May was unable to mesh, with the future of Slaava "Twista" Räsänen and Saku "SAGGERTON" Jokinen still unknown.

iGame.com announced its new roster in May after several of its former players saw their way to other teams in what ended up being a Finnish roster shuffle that hurt iGame.com's standing in the Finnish scene.

After losing Sami "xseveN" Laasanen to ENCE and Eetu "sAw" Saha and Olli "sLowi" Pitkänen to HAVU, iGame.com ended up with former HAVU players Jesse "KHRN" Grandell and Mikko "xartE" Välimaa joining the team's former coach turned player, Twista, as well as SAGGERTON and Timo "REFLEX" Rintala, but the new team never managed to find its groove.

SAGGERTON's future is uncertain after the team disbanded

The team, full of experience but lacking in firepower, was unable to land good results, finishing 3rd at NESA 2018 behind HAVU and SuperJymy, 25th in MDL, landing the team in the relegation playoff come September, and 9-16th at the CPH Games BYOC tournament.

iGame.com's statement:

"We are sad to announce the disbanding of our CSGO team, within few months we played together we realized our visions were different about the future also chemistry of the team was not what we were looking for. With this announcement, we will be releasing Mikko "xartE" Välimaa, Jesse "KHRN" Grandell & Timo "REFLEX" Rintala from our roster. Future of Saku "SAGGERTON" Jokinen and Slaava "Twista" Räsänen in the team is yet unknown.

"We are reviewing our options to sign a new team in near future so stay tuned with us.

"iGame.com wants to thank xartE, REFLEX, and KHRN for their time with us and we wish the best of luck to them, also thank you all for supporting us in these ups and downs."

With the three players released, iGame.com currently has:

Nikla might be right on this one xD Age checks out, well seasoned veteran too iirc so it could happen. Not sure how quickly Twista is going to give up playing CSGO competitively.
2018-08-08 02:26
Twista should've quit playing a few years ago already lol Now it's the time to be a coach in ENCE (y)

why would the ex-3dmax core split up?
2018-08-08 03:35
KHRN, xarte and reflex are now playing Finnish Esports League with uli and pietola. Uli is a past Findictus and Havu player and pietola was most recently in Nyyrikki. There are rumors that twista would join ENCE as a coach but that's not certain. Even though the Nyyrikki lineup just parted with the org, I don't think there'll be a real shuffle since FEL season 5 just started and the lineups were announced. Ex-Nyyrikki is the same as it was in Assembly last week, Conquer aquired the PUR$i$EURA lineup, ex-conquer players (snobi, vilksu, dreamer) are playing with chronos and some Vemberi, HAVU and superjymy are the same as before of course, ENCE doesn't play the league and they're not going to change any players and nothing else really matters. I'm not really an expert and I don't have any inside information. I just try to follow the scene closely. Edit: I just saw Olter's response and I had no idea about those things. Reflex in Havu would be pretty interesting since reflex is a good player (better than saw) and experienced as an igl. The problem with that is that the team would have 3 players who are known to be a little toxic/unlikable (juho, reflex and zehn). I don't really see xarte as a coach or an analyst but it would be a cool experiment.

Thank you for the detailed writeup :) I guess there's not really a shuffle incoming then, just finnish tier2 splitting up cores and okay-ish players going inactive/coach. It would be nice to see HAVU a bit stronger on the fragging front, so I guess that was my pipe dream when fantasizing about a potential shuffle.

They were perhaps the oldest team, average age-wise.. Which team is the oldest? Any Ideas?
2018-08-08 13:18
hard to say, Kinguin and VP gotta be up there, just cause any team with people around 30 years old are gonna have a higher average. Id prob guess VP is oldest average age, there might be some older but I am talking about tier 1-3 teams we actually know the names of not some random ones
2018-08-08 18:00
They never find there groove but always a paycheck
2018-08-08 13:25
yup...igame has never been good...i mean they have been good for tier 3-4 years ago, and since then only got worse. last time they were any good Twista could frag hard...been a long time they might as well just give up and disband for good
