September 3rd, 2018 15:00

With the kickoff date for the FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage drawing near, we have prepared a viewer's guide with all the information you need to follow the event.

The New Challengers Stage will be held at the Twickenham Stadium in London, United Kingdom on September 5-9 with 16 teams in attendance. There will be one Swiss group and the teams with three wins will qualify for the New Legends Stage while the teams with three losses get eliminated after five rounds of matches.

FACEIT will use Buchholz as a seeding tool in rounds 3-5 which will make it possible to measure how hard a team’s route has been. Additionally, the fifth and final Swiss round games will be played as best-of-threes.

The New Challengers Stage will be played at the Twickenham Stadium

Eight teams have made their way to the FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage via the Minors while the remaining squads were invited as they finished in the bottom eight at the ELEAGUE Major Boston's New Legends Stage.

The full team list can be found below:

Why would you conclude that someone asking where is Semmler is retarded?
2018-09-03 15:43
Because he’s been gone nearly a year now and if you’re on a website dedicated to cs you should 100% know where one half of the best casting duo of all time has gone?

Yea, I know about his lost, but that still didn't answer where he has been. Last time I heard about him he was a commentator for some Overwatch matches. I never heard about him announced retirement from commentating.
2018-09-03 15:51
Well he’s not involved in CS and hasn’t been for months. He does OWL now.

2018-09-03 15:11
well the only things she sais ingame is repeating the other caster or saying plain dumb/obvious things, other than that she just laughs like s fish or screams like a pig, and she is stupidly biased in het calling, never going over what the underdogs must do to beat the favorites etc
2018-09-03 15:22
Never really liked her just because she is overhyping things and always overcomplicate simple things. I think she doesn't fit as a csgo caster. Maybe she could work as an host or interviewer instead.

"while the remaining squads were invited thanks to their Legends status from ELEAGUE Major 2018." - I was sure that Legends status supposed to be in the list of top 8 teams on the previous Major. Am I wrong?

Legends status = top8 from previous major :p

It means their placing in the New Legends stage which used to be called the challengers stage. The top 8 in the New Legends went to the playoffs called New Champions or smth like that

Just 30 or so seats in the room that the teams play and a screen in the middle would be just fine. Surely a small group of people might be interested.

Way too much hassle for 30 people. I assume they need to then have security and all that. Also, where is the limit? I reckon there are more than 30 unemployed fucks in the area that want to get a sniff.
