ENCE defeat Red Reserve; advance to DreamHack Montreal playoffs

ENCE are through to the playoffs at DreamHack Open Montreal after defeating Red Reserve 16-7 in the Group A winners' match.

The Group A winners' match was played on Mirage, where Aleksi "allu" Jalli and his men drew first blood after winning their T pistol. However, a lopsided anti-eco from ENCE in connector saw Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun pick up a triple to even the score at 1-1,

Red Reserve used that momentum to secure a 5-1 lead, but ENCE took the reins of the game after that and went on a nine-round winning stream with their passive-aggressive approach.

ENCE are the first team in Montreal to advance to the playoffs

Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen opened up the second half with a huge quad-kill with the USP-S to shut down Red Reserve. ENCE went on to secure the following anti-ecos before Red Reserve finally put an end to that streak (6-13).

Red Reserve managed to get one more round under their belts, but, in the end, the stout defence from the Finns proved to be too much, as ENCE secured the next three rounds to become the first team to seal passage to the tournament playoffs.

Lol right? He's done some work in a short amount of time. Awesome to see his team doing damage. They should win this event honestly

ez4ence should be at major taking VP place but alrighty
2018-09-08 02:00
No they shoudlnt. VP spot was earned by getting to main event in previous major, ENCE instead didnt perform good enough in MINOR. How ence should be at major in VPs Place?

because ence took a shit during matches they should have closed out in minor. Was all I was saying. Don't get all defensive over nothing
2018-09-08 02:33
Not getting defensive, just wondering ur logic behind reasoning that ence should be there in vps spot. Rules are clear. Thats like telling astralis should be disqualified and ence should get their spot. lol

VP not even going to have same roster after Major. Bound to be 0-3 was ez pickums really, ence would have better chance is all friend
2018-09-08 02:35
Rules are clear. VP had their spot, ENCE didnt. Why should ence be there? Coz its ence :D? or wtfd :D:D?

nevermind no point in explaining further. Would have been a better challenge and that's about it
2018-09-08 02:50
yes, true. That doesnt mean they should be there in VPs spot. Thats like telling 5 random players should be there in NiPs spot.

I know what I said wasn't correctly written, thus I apologize.

Ye Ence had their chance to advance and earn spot but they didnt got one. Hopefully this will change on upcoming events.
