fnatic beat Winstrike; reach 1-1 score in London

After a close first half, fnatic found their footing in the second to beat Winstrike 16-7 on Inferno.

The first pistol round was an odd one, as Winstrike took control of the B site as Terrorists but never managed to plant the bomb, ultimately losing the round by chasing William "draken" Sundin only to be eliminated by Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson.

KRIMZ reached 23 kills on Inferno

fnatic turned on the heat with a string of aggressive rounds to make it 4-0 in their favour. Nikita "waterfaLLZ" Matveyev's men then figured out ways to get into the bomb sites, as they managed three in a row to make it 4-3 in the favour of the Swedes.

The half then became a closely fought battle, the two sides trading rounds all the way to a 8-7 scoreline favouring fnatic at the switch.

The Swedes came out swinging in the second pistol round as Terrorists and put themselves on double digits by taking the following two anti eco rounds (11-7). Richard "Xizt" Landström's men didn't let the second half become as close as the first, as they easily cruised to a 16-7 win.

I mean I would expect so, but didn't they lose a 16-4 by compLexity?
2018-09-13 14:35
I've no idea how Fanatic has won: no structure, no strats, random aggression all over the map - I've no idea why and how that has worked (actually worked only on their T side - they lost their CT side) but they have microscopic chances against top teams like Astralis, Liquid, and NaVi. Maybe it's just not their day, just like it was yesterday but WinStrike is still a tier 3 team.

Krimz is enough for them to win against Winstrike. I don't think there's a chance for them against any other team, maybe if they're lucky and get something like Tyloo and Vega they could get through because they still have better aim... But that's not a really nice way to get through a major, and if your only hope is to "Maybe get through a groupstage" then your team sucks... Fnatic ruined themselves, a bit sad, but what can you really do.
2018-09-13 13:33
TyLoo are way more structured than people think.
2018-09-13 13:48
TyLoo's structure as CT is really amazing.
2018-09-13 14:23
Vega looks better than fnatic rn Way better actually

Not really, they only have a convincing win over BIG if anything, defeating North/Spirit/C9 isn't that much of an achievement. They got through the first week 3-2 so it's not like they went through 3-0 defeating all top teams, they got through 1-0 thanks to C9 being awful, they don't look better than any team atm. If anythiing they're closer to equal than anything, and I'd still give the aim duels on favor of Fnatic, other than the awp duel ofc, because Draken sucks dick.

No surprise, QBF deserved for rekt! Even Vega and Team Spirit who did not even have a luxury of being automatically part of TOP 8, like QBF were, still managed to show great and much better results that Winstrike, especially Vega with a new line up, so with that said - QBF aka Winstrike can only blame themselves. bb
