Astralis have improved their New Legends Stage record to 2-0 after defeating Vega Squadron 16-4 on Inferno at the FACEIT Major.

The Inferno game between Astralis and Vega Squadron kicked off with the Danes on the CT-side. Anton "tonyblack" Kolesnikov found a quad kill in the pistol round to win a 3vs5 and Vega Squadron made it 3-0 with the anti-eco victories.

Astralis secured the first weapon round and went on to tie the game at 3-3. Even though Vega Squadron reclaimed the lead, Astralis hit back with a seven round streak during which the Danes died a total of five times (10-4).

Astralis cruised to victory on Inferno

Nicolai "device" Reedtz secured the 15th round with a 1vs1 clutch and Astralis finished the half 11-4 ahead. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's team continued their streak on the T-side by grabbing the second pistol round.

A kill by Emil "Magisk" Reif and a double from device was enough for Astralis' first weapon round victory which gave them eleven match points. The Danish squad closed out the map with a 16-4 final scoreline.

It’s funny you say that, do you even know anything about gla1ve’s career? - he has always been a good and smart player since CSS (counter strike source) + he was playing in the top scene in Denmark of early csgo. It’s true that his individual skill has gone up lately, but he has always been good

He should have stood by his old name, MagiskbOY. It is such a terrible and unpretensious name that it is actually fantastic. And only made better by the fact that he is an awesome player.

It's a shame because they started off so good, but ultimately they couldn't stop the Danish titans from building confidence and just steam-rolling them. Device went nuts this game, same for magisk.
