Storm Rider sign TheMongolz roster
A brand new Chinese organization has ventured into the CS:GO scene and acquired the former TheMongolz roster, HLTV.org has learned.
Following the departures of Temuulen "Zilkenberg" Battulga in December 2017 and Enkhtaivan "Machinegun" Lkhagva in February this year, TheMongolz have failed to replicate their earlier successes from 2016, where they won the first Asia Minor at IEM Taipei and ROG Masters Asia.
Despite having disappointing results and several roster changes since their golden period, TheMongolz received an opportunity to chase their dreams and compete abroad full-time, with Storm Rider offering them salaries, a gaming house, equipment and more. Tuvshinbleg Lkhagvasuren, the owner and founder of TheMongolz decided to allow his boys to be transferred for free.

After finishing 3-4th place at their final event under the TheMongolz banner at the eXTREMESLAND Mongolian qualifier, the players arrived at the gaming house in Changsha, China on September 10th, and have already begun practice in preparation for upcoming qualifiers including ESL Pro League Season 8 and Toyota Masters Bangkok.
This is not the first time we've seen Mongolian players compete abroad, with Erdenetsogt "erkaSt" Gantulga playing for one of the top Australian sides Grayhound, Gan-Erdene "dobu" Batbold and Bat-Enkh "kabal" Batbayar winning eXTREMESLAND China recently with 5POWER, and Machinegun's infamous stint with Splyce in the second half of 2016, who is now playing with RRQ in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Bold "ncl" Batsuh gave us a rundown of each player's role on the roster, starting with the experienced trio on the team, with Tsog "Tsogoo" Mashbat rifling, himself being a support rifler and the former coach Erdenedalai "maaRaa" Bayanbat taking up the in-game leader position.
The remaining two players are up-and-coming talents, with Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga joining four months ago as the AWPer and 18-year-old Uuganbayar "NEUZ" Nyam-Otgon finalizing the starting lineup one month ago as an entry fragger. Lastly, Khurts "BestronG" Artssed will be the coach, who has previously made an international appearance at ROG Masters 2016 Asia with Savor the Fear.
Storm Rider's roster looks as follows:
Bold "ncl" Batsuh
Tsog "Tsogoo" Mashbat
Erdenedalai "maaRaa" Bayanbat
Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga
Uuganbayar "NEUZ" Nyam-Otgon
Khurts "BestronG" Artssed (coach)
