SCARZ Absolute qualify for eXTREMESLAND Asia and IESF World Championship

SCARZ Absolute have won GALLERIA GAMEMASTER Cup 2018 over local rivals Ignis in the grand final, earning themselves two international trips.

The four-team LAN event took place this weekend on September 29-30 at LFS Esports Arena in Tokyo, Japan. In the semis, the local favourites SCARZ Absolute swept past Katsuya "Ayanox" Kitada's RIG in two maps (16-5 on Nuke & 16-10 on Mirage).

On the other side of the BO3 single-elimination bracket, Shuma "RIPablo Escobar" Ikeda's Ignis crushed DWFN with dominating scorelines on Inferno (16-5) and Overpass (16-2).

barce's SCARZ Absolute reign supreme domestically

In the grand final, Koji "Laz" Ushida and co. comfortably won their map pick on Mirage, 16-5, against Yusuke "neth" Matsuda's Ignis.

On the second map, Train was back-and-forth, with SCARZ Absolute managing an 8-7 half on the CT side. Yusuke "Norisen" Shima's men secured the second pistol round and took the lead to 13-10 after RIPablo Escobar's 1v1 smoke defuse on the B bombsite.

However, Ryo "barce" Takebayashi's crew were able to turn it around in the end, clutching the map 16-14, and the series in 2-0 fashion.

If you refer to the teams list if you check again you will see it only refers to the eXTREMESLAND's main event.
