ECS Challenger Cup NA qualifying spots increased as SK pull out of league
The number of qualifying spots for ECS in North America has increased from two to three after SK Gaming decided to forfeit their place in the league, FACEIT has revealed to Dust2.us.
The move comes with little surprise as SK, who lost their highly-successful Brazilian squad to MIBR in June, had already transferred their ESL Pro League spot to INTZ, whose team were at one point heavily linked with the German organisation.
Complexity and AZIO, who had reached the upper bracket final of the Challenger Cup, are now automatically through to the ECS league, with the final qualifying spot due to be contested by MIBR and Gorilla Gang in the tournament's lower bracket final.
