MIBR qualify for ECS Season 6

MIBR have secured the final slot in ECS Season 6's North American division after beating Gorilla Gang 2-0 (16-6 on Cache and 16-9 on Mirage) in the Challenger Cup's lower bracket final.

With Complexity and AZIO already through to ECS after it was revealed that SK Gaming had forfeited their spot in the league, MIBR and Gorilla Gang duked it out in the lower bracket final for the final ticket to FACEIT's competition.

The best-of-three grand final kicked off on MIBR's map pick, Cache, where Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and his men got off to a blazing 9-0 start. Gorilla Gang finally made their mark in the following round, but MIBR wasted no time responding and closed out the half with a 12-3 lead.

FalleN & co. make their way back into ECS

In the second half, Cameron "cam" Kern and Ryan "ryann" Welsh came out swinging to claim the T pistol and the following anti-ecos, cutting their deficit in half (6-12). But MIBR picked themselves up and fired back, locking down the next four rounds to secure the 16-6 map victory.

The series then moved to Mirage. Gorilla Gang came out the brighter of the two sides to win the pistol, but MIBR swiftly got back into the thick of things in the following eco, before racking up four more to make it 5-1, but the rest of the half was a highly-contested affair, with the North Americans taking an 8-7 lead into the break.

The sides switched and so did the momentum, as MIBR came out in the second half with fire in their bellies, winning nine out of ten rounds to take map, 16-9, and the series to qualify for ECS Season 6.

good for them but they wont go far lol
2018-10-03 02:44
Yeah ez for mibr
2018-10-03 02:44
They almost beat astralis a week after they won the major. No wonder your name is baitzera
2018-10-03 02:45
Astralis was trolling, they picked Overpass over D2 LOL
2018-10-03 02:46
Maybe because its their strength and not because its one of MIBRs "weaknesses" despite losing on it 16-0. "Playing our own game" ever heard that saying. Ofc bo1s versus these teams go to dust 2 because its a middle ground map which is why you saw mibr play it vs astralis at blast
2018-10-03 02:49
0/8 mibr never won a T round vs. Astralis on D2 it is free win
2018-10-03 02:50
Ya but they wanted to test it again cause its a comfortable map usually for them except vs astralis. They banned it for the final because they realized astralis will win that 100% of the time against them

Your team coulda had 3 majors but lost to gambit omegalul
2018-10-03 14:48
Gambit was on fire at Krakow and rightfully so. Remind me against who SK lost in the quarter-finals of the same major? 4Head
2018-10-03 16:37
Never claimed sk played well at that tournament.
2018-10-03 16:41
So we agree, the "top" 1 team with "godzera top 1" during that period lost to Astralis omegalul top 1 btw
2018-10-03 16:47
They were top 1 but astralis was close in level. Notice how astralis has lost to teams like north and navi in its time of being 1. And gambit wasnt top 1 during the time of the major so astralis lost to them too

Probaly Liquid/MiBR are the winners, but as both cannot win T1 tourneaments I think they’ll just disband. But yeah, MiBR is improving, they were complete shit 3 months ago and now are solid tier1

maybe t1 but dont see them lasting another 6 months without changing a player or two.
2018-10-03 03:04
Well, right now i see that Mibr can comfortably defeat teams like Faze, liquid, mouz or Nip. This is a solid t1 team, and I think nobody can take anything away from them. They almost won Blast against Astralis, just saying. Though i am not a fan of Mibr, i see this team improving day by day. Nowadays not many teams can take 1 map away from Astralis, you see?

What are you talking about? In major they lost to every t1 team they encountered and also to Tyloo. And in BLAST they had a draw with NiP and OT with C9.....i know Faze is shit right now, but MIBR is not far from them.

That, of course....but they still can't easily beat Liquid, Faze...or even NiP or mous...Especially with the form mouz showed at New York
2018-10-03 14:56
They can beat NiP and surely FaZe. Liquid actually is top 1 NA, but MiBR is not far from them. In global ranking, they're top 5 at least.

2018-10-03 15:50
Btw FaZe still easy for them, only 3 teams can give them a hard game: Astralis, Na'Vi and Liquid. All the rest, are ez games if MiBR want it.

Why in MIBR flag shows only the Brazilian one? While Liquid and Complexity has a mix between the American and Canadian flags?
2018-10-03 13:05
Because mibr has the majority of Brazilian player, meanwhile the complexity core has 2 Canadians and 2 americans, so it's kinda of a tie
