Official: Vitality unveil team
Vitality have formally announced their expansion into CS:GO with the signing of a French roster headlined by three former Major champions.
The team feature the core of the Envy roster that won DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, with Dan "apEX" Madesclaire and Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt signing from G2, while Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer has been brought in on a free transfer.
The announcement represents Vitality's first foray into Counter-Strike. Founded in August 2013, the French organisation boasts teams competing in multiple games, though they are mostly known for their League of Legends squad, who are attending the 2018 World Championship, in South Korea.
According to a recent report from ESPN, Vitality have been accepted as a franchise partner for the European League of Legends Championship Series (EU LCS) - a move that will cost the organisation a fee in the region of $9 million.
