New4 coach Nan "Jewelry" Wang has been hired by 5POWER to guide the team at EPICENTER, HLTV.org has learned.

The 32-year-old, who is known for his time with wNv and TyLoo in 1.6 while playing under the nickname "prom1se", will be helping the team in Moscow as they look to secure a spot in the $300,000 tournament via the wildcard qualifier.

HLTV.org knows that the decision was made after 5POWER's players were impressed by Jewelry when he stepped in for the team at the recent WESG 2018 China Finals, in Suzhou.
Wei "shuadapai" Wang's troops, who were also playing with ZhiTao "Drea3er" Zhang as a stand-in, reached the semi-finals of the tournament before being defeated 2-0 by ViCi.

Jewelry will coach 5POWER in Moscow

5POWER earned a spot in the EPICENTER wildcard qualifier after topping the Chinese qualifier with a 2-1 victory over CyberZen in the final. In Moscow, the team will be competing with Virtus.pro, Swole Patrol and HellRaisers for two spots in the main tournament.

Before travelling to Russia, 5POWER will be attending the eXTREMESLAND 2018 Asia Finals, a $100,000 competition that will kick off on October 18.

5POWER will attend EPICENTER with:

Mongolia Batbayar "kabal" Bat-Enkh
China ZhiHai "QKA" Fu
China Wei "shuadapai" Wang
China Peng "xiaosaGe" Song

Every team needs some bling, so bring on the Jewelry! I wonder what made him decide "Jewerly" was a better name than "prom1se"...I will never understand the reason of some of these English words of team names on some of the Asian teams (especially China and Thailand - players name Jewery, CigaretteS, GeniuS, bottle, rolex, etc... my guess is that it is idioms/idiomatic cultural expressions or words/meanings that make sense when spoken in native tongue, but are just a little more awkward in another Language, English in this case.

maybe he just want to be called Jewelry in Chinese (Zhu Bao), and when he needs a English nickname he had no choice but to find the translation in a dictionary so Jewelry comes to his eyes.

Not a good choice but the sad truth is, it's hard to find a real coach in China.
