ESL India confirms forsaken cheat at Premiership Fall

The tournament organiser is looking into all players who attended the fall finale of the ESL India Premiership, it has announced.

The investigation comes after last week's cheating scandal at the eXTREMESLAND 2018 Asia Finals, where the now former OpTic India player Nikhil "⁠forsaken⁠" Kumawat was caught on stage using a cheating software, resulting in his team's dismissal from the tournament.

In a Facebook post, ESL India have announced that the company has found the same software used by forsaken on the hard drive the 23-year-old was using at the ESL India Premiership Fall Finale, which ran on September 13-14.

All players from OpTic India were released after the cheat was discovered

The discovery has lead ESL India to look into all the 20 players who attended the September event alongside the former OpTic India roster, including players from Brutality, and Slaughter Rage Army.

The company says it has 'shared this evidence with the Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC).' and that the organisations Commissioner is 'conducting an independent inquiry' at this time.

CORRECTION: This article's headline originally read '20 players under investigation for cheating by ESL India'. It has been changed to more accurately reflect the findings of the tournament organiser.

It seems like everyone cheats, because of the high amount of active MM players in the Indian Scene. Say, 'x' % of CS players in Poland use Cheats (just an assumption, don't get mad). That would be a Very small Number of People, compared to India, due to the high population. So, although it seems that there's a lot of cheaters in the Indian Subcontinent, there's an even higher amount of Legit Player base Present. It's not over yet, but the Indian Scene needs a Reboot of sorts now.

That's theoretically impossible, considering you're comparing the Sum of No. Of Players in NA,SA,EU and CIS to the No. Of Players in Asia. There's a HUGE difference in that value, and, to be fair, the scene was already established in these regions even before CSGO was born. So, in theory, NA+SA+EU+CIS has a lot more cheaters in India, by Numbers.

Yeah when you can bring your own computer, SSD and/or use a USB-stick in the PC. You are not supposed to be able to do that on proper events. The players don't have access to the internet on the PCs they play on. They also are not able to "install" anything, as far as I know.

That's the difference between pro player and noob player dude Pro player never got caught while cheating or matchfixing Noob players always got caught because they are not pro enough (in matchfixing or cheating)

cheating starts always from noob...and then go pro. if valve is ok with the noobs, except cheating at the pro level. short words: "Valve can ban or reduce cheating but its a huge income for them."

Cheating is easy... and this is the easy way for the losers trying to win and you dont need balls for that need only stupidity and proof how much small you are in game and real life because is your choise to do it . You need balls when you accept to fight with your skills and accept to win or lose this is competition something is get lost long time ago....
