BLAST Pro stand-ins, odd haircuts and controversial emotes: HLTV Confirmed episode 10 recap

For those of unable to catch the show live, we've collected a series of clips from the tenth episode of HLTV Confirmed for your viewing pleasure.

Joining the panel for the tenth episode fo the show was the Danish up-and-coming player Ismail "refrezh" Ali, who shared some insight about Fragsters' breaking into the top 30 and his own mentality.

refrezh revealed that he was asked by valens to stand in for Cloud9 in Copenhagen

The panel also discussed the results at BLAST Pro Series, as the event was won by a well-playing Natus Vincere squad. But Cloud9, who have recently been struggling, also did well in the Danish capital in spite of using their coach Soham "valens" Chowdhury as a stand-in for in-game leader Maikil "Golden" Selim, who fell ill before the first day of matches.

On the show, refrezh revealed that valens actually asked him to come play at BLAST Pro, but that the opportunity unfortunately fell through for the 20-year-old:

If you've ever seen refrezh appear on-screen for an event, you've probably noticed that the Twitch chat quickly gets filled with emotes like TriHard and cmonBruh, who are often associated with racism or anything related to skin colour.

The panel asked refrezh about how he feels about the emotes and whether their abundance whenever he is on screen affects him. It's safe to say that he's unfazed by them:

HLTV Confirmed doesn't shy away from asking the hard questions, so when presented with the opportunity, Senior Writer Zvonimir "Professeur" Burazin pressed refrezh on a tweet he put out back in July.

The tweet included a picture of a rather bizarre haircut along with a promise that the 20-year-old would acquire it if he reached 2000 retweets - quickly deleting the tweet after pros like Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen noticed and retweeted it, which boosted the retweet-count quite a bit.

The discussion about the tweet led to refrezh making a new bet about the haircut live on the show:

Apart from atypical hair styles, the panel looked at the recently concluded BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen event, discussing both winners and losers of the tournament. A viewer of the show wanted to focus on Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey, who played with Cloud9 at the event. Referencing an interview HLTV.org did with the team's coach, Senior Writer Milan "Striker" Švejda concluded that the 24-year-old might make for a good permanent part of Cloud9's roster:

The next episode of HLTV Confirmed will air on Monday, November 12.

We had some high profile players lined up for past episodes, but it is hard to make it work with the busy schedule at the moment. But we are working on it!
