In the second round of Group A matches, MIBR defeated Renegades 16-12 on Inferno, while FaZe managed to beat LDLC in a 30-round match on Mirage.

The match between MIBR and Renegades was played on Inferno, and it started with the Americans winning their CT pistol, an anti-eco and the first gun round. The Australian side then picked up their first round with pistols, but their opponents hit back immediately to go up 4-1.

FalleN's men had a slow start, but managed to turn the map around

Still, that did not stop Renegades from breaking through the defence once again, in part thanks to a double-kill from Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai. In fact, Renegades followed that up with a strong gameplan, which continuously led them to clear the bombsites in convincing fashion. It was only in the 13th round that MIBR finally got back on the board, but that was the best they could get from the first half, 5-10.

The beginning of the second half followed the same pattern as the first one, with MIBR losing only one of the first five rounds. This time around, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's men went on massive run, constantly denying Renegades' strategies to seal the deal at 16-12.

On the B stream, FaZe took on LDLC on Mirage. The European mixture picked up a quick 2-0 lead after winning their CT pistol, but the Francophone squad responded with three strong rounds to take control of proceedings.

Nevertheless, Finn "karrigan" Andersen and co. tightened up their defence and strung five rounds together, forcing LDLC to call a tactical pause. Despite calling another timeout in the process, David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic's troops simply could not stop the defence, who lost nothing but a single round before bagging an 11-4 half-time lead.

NiKo led the way for his team with a 1.22 rating

The second half began with François "AmaNEk" Delaunay denying Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács's 1v2 clutch, and LDLC following that up with three more rounds. LDLC lost the next two, but they did not let FaZe get comfortable and eventually brought the deficit to a single round, 13-14. Nikola "NiKo" Kovač's men kept their composure, however, and closed out the map on a shoddy pistol buy in the 30th round.

2018-11-06 22:22
LDLC without that washed-up "mastermind" takes 14 rounds off FaZe. G2 with him gets knocked out by fucking compLexity. Ocelote, stop being stupid.
2018-11-06 22:27
That mastermind beat faze in bo3 with smithzz and bodyy
2018-11-06 23:39
Who did not beat FaZe in that period? NRG beat both FaZe and G2 at that event, so you need something more to try to serve as a bait.
2018-11-07 07:04
Faze then shit on everyone the next tournament, your argument is irrelevant. NRG has also proven to be a solid team. LDLC couldn’t beat them in a bo1 Your baits really need to get better
2018-11-07 18:55
What happened after FaZe's period of slump is irrelevant. FaZe sucked in that period and defeating them meant nothing. Try harder, my little friend.
