ImAPet to miss remainder of IEM Chicago

NRG will have to make do without Chet "ImAPet" Singh for the rest of IEM Chicago, the coach has revealed on Twitter.

The 22-year-old cited personal family issues as reasons for his departure from the event, but assured his followers that he would return for the ECS Season 6 Finals set to take place in Arlington, Texas on November 22-25.

NRG find themselves in the Group A lower bracket in Chicago, as they lost their opening best-of-one matchup against North, but went on to beat MVP PK over three maps.

ImAPet leaves Chicago to attend to personal issues

The temporary loss of a coach could be critical to NRG, as their in-game leader Damian "daps" Steele revealed in an interview with HLTV.org on day one of the event that the team could benefit from a bigger staff or even 'outside experts' to properly take advantage of their firepower and win big events, the 25-year-old saying that 'the problem is that we're so inconsistent in terms of comms and day-to-day stuff.'

ImAPet is the second coach to miss at least some of the action at IEM Chicago, as Renegades' Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović was forced to stay in Europe because of visa issues.

NRG will face MIBR in the lower bracket of Group A, with the match set to start at 22:35.

Too bad you give this idiot such a decent answer. His extremely uncalled for behaviour shouldn't get a such a decent response, even if you agree.

ROFL nobody leaves MID event because of some disagreement. Obviously somebody must've died in his family or his sister got raped or whatever. When in the history of ever has HLTV made a post about players/coaches having "family issues" and it hasn't been family issues btw? huh? Moron
2018-11-07 14:04
Even if someone died... you leaving isn't going to bring them back so my as well stay and play out the event. Most likely they would've got knocked out real soon so it's not like he would have to wait much longer to leave.

Listen, I agree. But some people do have feelings. And even if it's not the guy himself, but it's his family and his family wants him to be there, whatever happened. There are more parties involved besides the coach himself and the team. There's also the family, and those people most likely don't give much of a crap about esports. Besides some families are just close af, again I can't relate. But there are families out there that do a lot together. It's fucking ridiculous saying "can people stop saying family issues, we get it you're mad or the team is mad... just say it fuck we aren't that stupid". like mr. @RipHeadphoneUsers said in #35
