mousesports see off Cloud9 in Texas

mousesports have eliminated Cloud9 after beating the North American side 2-0 at the ECS Season 6 Finals (16-14 on Train and 16-7 on Mirage).

The Group A elimination match featuring mousesports and Cloud9 kicked off on Train where the CT-sided mousesports claimed the pistol round with a double kill from Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný. Chris "chrisJ" de Jong & co. lost the following round but hit back in three consecutive rounds to lead 4-1.

Timothy "autimatic" Ta found three entry kills with the AWP in the fifth and eighth round as Cloud9 caught up to mousesports (4-4). Cloud9 led 8-5 at one point in the half but they were unable to increase the deficit, finishing it 8-7 ahead.

mouz remained alive in at the ECS S6 Finals

mousesports took the first two rounds in the second half but the game remained close. Cloud9 came back from 12-10 to lead 14-12 but couldn't get to the finish line as mousesports won four in a row to close out the map with a 16-14 scoreline.

Robin "flusha" Rönnquist and autimatic opened up Mirage with a 2vs4 clutch to give Cloud9 the pistol round victory on the T-side. mousesports were trailing 6-1 when they picked up their second round with pistols, which was the turning point of the game.

mousesports took seven rounds in a row to lead 8-7 at halftime. Martin "STYKO" Styk & Robin "ropz" Kool won the second half pistol despite a 2vs4 disadvantage and mousesports went on to secure the map 16-7. With the 2-0 series victory, mouz eliminated Cloud9, becoming Astralis' opponent in the Group B decider match.
