MIBR to semi-finals over mouz, Na`Vi outlast Ghost
MIBR have clinched a semi-finals spot after topping Group B over mousesports (Train 16-14, Inferno 16-6), while Natus Vincere survived a dangerous match against Ghost (2-1; Inferno 11-16, Train 19-16, Mirage 16-6) to eliminate the North American team and secure a place in the quarter-finals.
The upper bracket final of Group B began on Train, where MIBR grabbed a hold of the match from the get-go, mounting a 7-2 lead as CT. With Chris "chrisJ" de Jong and Martin "STYKO" Styk giving their team a round each, mousesports closed the gap to three, but the Brazilian-American team ran away with the rest of the half for 11-4.
When they added the second pistol round on top of it, everything looked decided, but mousesports refused to give up, attempting a massive comeback by winning 10 out of the next 11 rounds to go even at 14-14. However, it was all for naught after all, as two executes from MIBR later, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's team clinched map one at 16-14.
The story wasn't much different on Inferno, where MIBR once again mounted a huge CT side despite losing the initial pistol, as they responded right back and didn't let mousesports string rounds together to go up 12-3. This time, they didn't have too much trouble closing things out after losing the second pistol round, going on a four-round streak in the gunrounds, with Tarik "tarik" Celik closing things out with a 1v3 clutch at 16-6, 2-0.

Group B's lower bracket final started off with Ghost surprising Na`Vi early on on Inferno, as after losing the pistol round they went on a six-round streak after Jason "neptune" Tran grabbed a quad-kill in the first gunround while Kenneth "koosta" Suen and Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik clutched a couple of key rounds.
After Ghost extended their lead to 9-3 once they broke their opponents in the 10th round, Na`Vi had to fight back with three in a row at the end, including one in which Denis "electronic" Sharipov clutched a 1v2.
Subroza added another clutch to his name in the second pistol round, but Na`Vi responded with a forcebuy victory to start clawing their way back into the match, closing the gap to 10-11. With just two saved guns, Ghost came out on top of an eco round and shortly after broke Natus Vincere after trading rounds. That made Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko's team force three times in a row and the North American side came out victorious at 16-11.
Train was closely contested from the start, as the two sides traded four-round streaks early on before Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev put up a quad-kill and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev a triple for a 6-4 lead in favor of Na`Vi. Joshua "steel" Nissan's team needed to win just one round to send their opponents on a force, which helped them secure an 8-7 half.
On the CT side, the favorites looked dominant aside from a couple of losses to low buys, which allowed them to get match point at 15-11 while s1mple continued to dominate, passing the 30-kill mark at that point. steel stepped up to the plate with a few key multi-kills in return to force overtime, but there, Na`Vi utilized their experience and won a few close scenarios to force the deciding map at 19-16.
Mirage was set to end the series, with Ghost taking the early control with a 4-0 lead. Na`Vi responded with two in a row on the back of a quad-kill from Edward, while the North American team won a forcebuy round, but they couldn't keep the Ukraine-based team at bay after electronic grabbed a quad-kill of his own.
From there on, the half was firmly in Natus Vincere's hands, as they went on a seven-round streak for a 9-6 halftime score. The favored squad took no time to finish off their opponents, going 7-0 on the Terrorist side to advance to the semi-finals at 16-6, 2-1.
