The North Americans secured the first three rounds of the match to take control of proceedings as Terrorists, breaking their opponents' economy in the process, but Na`Vi still managed to win their first round on the back of Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's double-kill with a saved AWP.
Natus Vincere could not follow that up, so Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko called a tactical pause at 1-5. That was not enough to stop Liquid, however, as Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and co. kept running all over the defence, losing just the final round of the half to bag a crushing 13-2 lead.
Liquid carried that momentum onto their map pick, Inferno, and strung four rounds together while starting out as Terrorists. Natus Vincere then added their first round on the board with nothing but CZs, which inspired the Ukrainians to eventually take the lead at 5-4.
Surprisingly enough, Liquid also won a round with just CZs, and, from that moment, they read their opponents like a book, constantly shutting down the defence, except in the 15th round, to go up 9-6 by half-time.
Liquid further added to their lead after winning their fourth pistol of the series, with Nick "nitr0" Cannella's men then strolling to a 16-6 finish as Natus Vincere simply could not get through the North American defence.
