Virtus.pro add TOAO and bring back Snax, byali to form new roster
Virtus.pro have unveiled their new roster today, built around their star AWPer Michał "snatchie" Rudzki and rifler Michał "MICHU" Müller, who are the only two remaining players from the latest iteration of the team.
Snax makes his return after a short stint in mousesports, where he was benched as the European roster decided to bring back Martin "STYKO" Styk. Making a return as well is byali, who spent his time away from Virtus.pro playing with the Polish mix-team MIKSTURA.
The final piece of the puzzle is Mateusz "TOAO" Zawistowski, who will be in-game leading for the squad. The 22-year-old broke out with AGO last year, but found himself on the bench recently after the team hit a rough patch.
In a short statement accompanying the news, Virtus.pro's General Manager Roman Dvoryankin said the following:
"It was a difficult, but calculated decision. We trust these young players who are, I hope, the future of our CS:GO team. I'm happy to welcome byali and Snax back to our roster: the guys are no strangers to winning titles under the banner of Virtus.pro. We also expect to see our brand new player TOAO to quickly adapt and to bring fresh ideas to the team.
"The decision to keep Jakub as a coach has been completely mutual. We have ensured complete support to him. Even though he has received a profitable offer from another team, Jakub stays with us to guide the Polish CS:GO back where it belongs – at the international top.
"We are saying farewell to the esports legend NEO. It's hard to overestimate his contribution to our team's victories. Together with Wiktor Wojtas, Filip's efforts elevated our organization to be among the leaders of the global esports scene. I wish Filip the best of luck in any career path he may choose. We will reveal our future plans together with pashaBiceps in the next year."
With that, Virtus.pro now have the following roster:
Jakub "kuben" Gurczynski (coach)
