Cloud9 invited to iBUYPOWER Masters
Cloud9 have accepted an invitation to compete at iBUYPOWER Masters 2019, the tournament's organisers have announced.
The ELEAGUE Major Boston champions are the sixth team confirmed for the event, joining the likes of Astralis, FaZe and Ghost, with only two invitees now left to reveal.
The announcement comes during a turbulent time for Cloud9, who have been credited with an interest in Gage "Infinite" Green as Maikil "Golden" Selim could miss the IEM Katowice Major because of medical concerns.

Cloud9 founder and CEO Jack Etienne reacted to the news on Twitter stressing that the organisation had "not signed anyone at this point in time", though he admitted that there had been talks with "several players" about potentially stepping into the shoes of the Swedish tactician.
iBUYPOWER Masters 2019 will run on January 19-20 at the Avalon Theater Hollywood, in Los Angeles, where eight teams will square off for their share of a $200,000 prize pool. The tournament will begin with a best-of-one double-elimination group stage, followed by the single-elimination playoffs with the top two teams from both groups.
The team list for the event currently looks as follows:
