karrigan joins Envy on loan
The move comes a fortnight after karrigan was benched by FaZe, ending a run during which he won seven tournaments in the active lineup. It was widely speculated that he was on his way out of FaZe before he was benched, as Nikola "NiKo" Kovač had taken the in-game leadership role earlier in the season.
After spending more than two years with FaZe, karrigan has been loaned to the #40 team in the world, Envy, to replace Matt "Pollo" Wilson who had stood in for the team for two months. The Dane gave a hint about the transfer on Monday, tweeting that he "envies" players that will be at the next Major in Katowice.
Envy have recently qualified for the Americas Minor and managed to avoid relegation in the ESL Pro League. They will be in Katowice with karrigan on January 22-26 to take part in the Americas Minor which will hand out two places at IEM Katowice's New Challengers Stage and one spot at the Minors' Third Place Play-in.
