Vitality invited to Charleroi Esports
The French squad Vitality will be making a trip to neighboring Belgium in April to attend the ~$113,000 Charleroi Esports tournament.
Charleroi Esports is an event put together as a collaboration between the football team RCSC Charleroi, the basketball team Spirou Basket, and local tournament organizer Louvard Game. So far, only LDLC was confirmed for the eight-team tournament.
Now, another French team joined the list, as Vitality was confirmed to attend the event. With their star player Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut putting up big numbers, they won DreamHack Open Atlanta late last year and qualified for the European Minor, but still underwent a roster change, replacing Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer with Alex "ALEX" McMeekin.
Only two more teams will be invited to the event, with the remaining four securing spots through European, Noth American and Asian qualifiers.
