North see out ex-SS; mouz eliminate OpTic in Katowice

North knocked out ex-Space Soldiers with a 2-0 victory while mousesports sent OpTic packing after beating them with the same scoreline at the Europe Minor.

The Group B elimination game between ex-Space Soldiers and North kicked off on Mirage, with the Danes starting on the CT-side. Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså & company secured the first five rounds, after which Yaman "yam" Ergenekon and Engin "ngiN" Kor got double kills to get their team's first (5-1).

valde kept wreaking havoc with the AUG afterwards, helping his team get three more rounds while he got nine kills in that period (8-1). Ahmet "paz" Karahoca responded with a quad kill in the tenth round but ex-Space Soldiers got reset when they lost a 2vs2 in the following round.

valde was impressive against ex-SS

The Danish team finished the first half 12-3 ahead and won the second pistol with a team ace. North closed out the map in the 21st round, winning 16-5.

The series continued on Inferno where Nicklas "gade" Gade got a quad kill in the pistol round to put his T-sided team 1-0 ahead. North were leading 4-1 when ex-Space Soldiers started a seven round streak to make it 8-4.

Casper "cadiaN" Møller and valde clutched a 2vs4 to break the streak. Then, North won a 3vs5 and a 4vs5 to win the final two rounds of the half (8-7). North won six of the first seven rounds in the second half to lead 13-9 and closed out the map with a 16-10 final scoreline. The Danes won the match 2-0 and eliminated ex-Space Soldiers.

OpTic and mousesports squared off in the Group A elimination game and the Danish squad started on the CT-side on Train. Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke & company won the first two rounds but mousesports replied by taking the following three (3-2).

mousesports could have had a 9-6 lead at halftime but Ismail "refrezh" Ali won a 1vs2 to keep it within one round (8-7). Robin "ropz" Kool was the star in the second pistol as he got a quad kill to make it 9-7. OpTic came back from 11-7 to tie the game at 12-12 and took the lead after winning a 3vs5 (13-12).

Jakob "JUGi" Hansen and refrezh both got double kills to make it 14-12 but OpTic couldn’t close out the map as mousesports grabbed four in a row to win 16-14.

mouz stay alive at the Europe Minor

Nuke began with the T-sided OpTic taking the pistol round victory thanks to a quad kill by René "cajunb" Borg. After OpTic lost the following three rounds, cajunb showed up once again, this time clutching a 1vs2 to make it 3-2. mousesports extended their lead to 5-2 but couldn’t establish a strong economy as OpTic won five consecutive rounds to go ahead 7-5, eventually winning the half out 8-7.

The second half started with mousesports taking the pistol round, and following it up with four rounds in a row as OpTic was unable to build an economy. The Danes were able to get three rounds in a row to get back into the match, but mousesports bucked the trend and got back to winning ways, making it to 15-11 before closing the second map out, 16-11.

Yeah, there is lots of better players than Ngin... « Mini » from Royale Bandits. Actual streamers (RIP...).. + Ngin is living in Germany so they don’t see each other casually.. I really can’t understand why he is still in the team

Nope, Optic had to buy him out. Otherwise he would of gone into free agency before being signed by Optic, the article by HLTV specifically states he was transferred from FaZe to Optic.

Could be their basic skills lack a little, so when they aren't 100% on form they lack consistency.

So dumb comment. He joined a sinking ship in the form of optic, who must be the worst professionnal atmosphere to play in (konfig cajun snappi woowowowo). Look at him standin in for c9. You can t perform well in such bad team. Keep jugi/refrezh and maybe konfig (if he grows up mentally) and bring karrigan + an upcoming danish talent. Optic is a fail since day one. Cajunb and snappi my god never seen so ez stolen money : unprofessionnal and washed up, acting like they are some kind of gods. Make me think about a certain g2 team
2019-01-17 18:39
