Grayhound, Renegades move on at Asia Minor

Grayhound and Renegades are through to Group A's winners' match at the Asia Minor after moving past CyberZen and Aequus, respectively.

The first match stream match of the tournament, pitting the current No.2 team in Oceania against the No.6 team in Asia, began with a successful B execute from Grayhound in the pistol round off the back of a trio of kills by Christopher "⁠dexter⁠" Nong.

CyberZen responded immediately, though, and put together a string or rounds, bringing the scoreline to 4-1. A serious of messy rounds in Grayhound's favour then turned the game on its head, with the Australian team dominating proceedings for the rest of the half to take a 9-6 lead.

Grayhound move on to the winners' match

Now playing on the CT side, Grayhound took the pistol round after denying Bin "⁠Savage⁠" Liu the 1v3 clutch. The Chinese side hit back after buying up in the third round, sparking a comeback as Grayhound were forced to go on a double eco.

After getting their economy back on track, the Australian side went on a massive round, winning four rounds in a row to hit match point. CyberZen still attempted a response, only to lose the game in an anti-eco round following three quick kills by Euan "⁠sterling⁠" Moore in the B site.

Meanwhile, Renegades took on Aequus on the secondary stream, with the Australian side cruising to a 13-2 lead after a dominant CT side display.

The Israeli side came out of the break determined to put up a fight and shut down any chances of Renegades stringing rounds together or building up an economy. However, their resistance was eventually broken in the 23rd round as Sean "⁠Gratisfaction⁠" Kaiwai pulled off a 1v3 clutch after a very weak buy to send Renegades through to the winners' match.

In my opinion, anarkez and zencer need to move to an EU team if they want this as a serious career choice. I believe that with enough training in the EU, they can do some serious damage.
