hoorai disband CS team
hoorai have announced they have decided to part company with the Counter-Strike squad.
The German team had been part of the ranks of hoorai since joining from pod.hama at this point last year, following an impressive campaign in the league.
But the new hoorai team have failed to qualify for the EPS Finals for the past two seasons, resulting in the organisation opting disband the entire division.
hoorai general manager Tobias "overkill" Steinmann has noted that betting on the team was no longer a viable option after their failure to reach the league's finals for two seasons in a row.
"When we signed the CS-team one year ago, we were full of hope that they would qualify for the EPS finals again with our help," he told HLTV.org
"We thought we could give them the support they needed, like bootcamps for example, and they would become better.
"After one year and two seasons, maybe there's a little change in our mind and in time of financial crisis hoorai as a company has to think about investments and if it's reasonable to put that much money into a team like this."
The future of the six players is now pretty much vague, with reports linking Linus "beist" Gubenis to the new TBH.eSports project.
hoorai had the following line-up:
Witali "nuY" Martin
Linus "beist" Gubenis
Frans "fRaNs" von der Aue
Tobias "Notorious" Torka
Johan "rappy" von der Aue
Sebastian "cypress" Schweegmann (Backup)
