NRG, Bravado pick up victories at Americas Minor

NRG and Bravado are through to the Group A winners' match at the Americas Minors after defeating Imperial and INTZ, respectively.

Starting out as Terrorists on Nuke, NRG picked up a 2-0 lead after winning the first pistol of the match. Imperial responded with a successful gun round, but they were immediately reset by the North Americans, who went on to make the score 5-1.

Brehze made light work of Imperial with 29 frags

Even though the Brazilians managed to string three rounds together, reducing the deficit to 4-5, NRG broke their economy with a pair of rounds, the second of which on the back of a 2v4 clutch from Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and Ethan "Ethan" Arnold. Imperial would win two more until half-time, but Damian "daps" Steele's men were in charge, eventually bagging a 9-6 lead.

Imperial started the second half well, with Denis "dzt" Fischer denying Jacob "FugLy" Medina a 1v2 clutch. Nevertheless, Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves's troops could not prevail against a stack in A in the next round, and, from that moment, they were helpless to stop NRG, who closed out the map at 16-8.

Meanwhile, Bravado took on INTZ on Train. The South African side took control of proceedings as Terrorists, securing the pistol and the subsequent two rounds, but INTZ quickly levelled the score with a trio of rounds of their own.

Bravado did not back down and got back to the lead with another three-round winning streak, 6-3. However, that was when INTZ tightened up their defense, losing just one more round from there to secure a narrow 8-7 half-time lead.

After winning their T-side pistol thanks to a successful B execution, INTZ followed that up with two more rounds to further add to their lead, 11-7. Still, following Bravado's flawless first gun round, Dimitri "Detrony" Hadjipaschali's men kept shutting down their opponents to eventually seal the deal at 16-12.
