IEM Sydney closed qualifier brackets drawn

After the open qualifiers were brought to an end, the brackets for the North American and European closed qualifiers for IEM Sydney have been announced.

Both qualifiers will take place on February 6-8, using a double-elimination BO3 system, with the final match being BO5. From both regions, only the best team will qualify for the $250,000 IEM stop in Sydney, which will be played on April 30-May 5.

BIG are one of the teams that will be fighting for a spot at IEM Sydney

In Europe, the likes of North, HellRaisers and BIG will be in contention, with the following matchups starting off the qualifier:

Denmark North vs. France 3DMAX
France G2 vs. Denmark OpTic
Other HellRaisers vs. Russia forZe
Germany BIG vs. Serbia Valiance

On the North American side of things, Ghost are the highest-ranked team looking for a spot at the tournament in Australia, with the following four matches starting the upper bracket:

Brazil Luminosity vs. United States eUnited
United States Envy vs. United States Swole Patrol
North America compLexity vs. United States Win Scrims Not Matches
