Cloud9 confirm Zellsis departure
The 21-year-old spent two months on trial with the team as a replacement for Maikil "Golden" Selim, who was forced to spend some time on the sidelines due to medical issues.
During this time, Cloud9 placed 5th-6th at iBUYPOWER Masters and second at the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational, and reached the New Legends Stage of the IEM Katowice Major, in which they went out with a 2-3 record, beating MIBR and HellRaisers, and losing to Astralis, Vitality and FaZe.
Zellsis, who averaged a 0.87 rating while playing with Cloud9, has set his sights on a return to Swole Patrol alongside the likes of Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor, Braxton "swag" Pierce and Sam "s0m" Oh, according to a report from Rush B Media.
This is the second confirmed change from the line-up that competed at the Major after Golden was brought back into the fold, replacing Robin "flusha" Rönnquist, who is taking some time off from the game after losing his mother.
"Thank you to everyone at Cloud9 for giving me this opportunity and I plan on coming back bigger and better than ever."
Cloud9, who will make their next appearance at BLAST Pro Series Miami, on April 12, currently have:
