Cloud9 eye suNny as potential new fifth player

Cloud9 have expressed an interest in MOUZ star Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi, HLTV.org has learned.

The 24-year-old is high on the list of priorities of the North American squad as they look for a new fifth player after deciding to end Jordan "⁠Zellsis⁠" Montemurro's trial.

HLTV.org knows that the two organisations have had exploratory talks regarding a potential transfer but an agreement has yet to be reached.

suNny is on Cloud9's shortlist

suNny is one of the three players that MOUZ currently have in their active line-up after the organisation benched Martin "⁠STYKO⁠" Styk and Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong in the wake of a disappointing run at the Europe Minor.

Formerly of PENTA, suNny joined mousesports in August 2017 as a replacement for Christian "⁠loWel⁠" Garcia Antoran. He was named the 16th best player of the world in 2018 after an impressive year in which the team won StarSeries Season 4, the V4 Future Sports Festival and ESL One New York.

Ence doesn't have enough firepower, if you get sunny you have more of a chance, and ofc sergej is probably only getting better as a player. I think that it wouldn't be a bad move for Sunny nor for ENCE. But it could also go horribly wrong and the team just doesn't do shit because of chemistry.

Big didnt lose because how well ence did, ence did ok. Big had no coach and they just swapped a player. they performed very poorly against ence because they just weren't prepared, they lost it themselves, ence was just there to pick up the win.

You retard Liquid, probably most firepower in the scene, look what they have been doing Faze, definitely the number two if not number one, and the team is absolute bollocks Mousesports three heavy fraggers and chrisj who is pretty solid - even after ropz and sunny dropped off in form the team didn't get much worse MIBR with coldzera far and fallen are three incredibly good players. But when fallen loses his mojo anf they bring in NA players to ruin communication, look what happens By far the most important thing on a team is a unified culture. If they want to risk that for bringing on sunny, fine. But unless they integrate him flawlessly it will be a downgrade, so what's the point? ??? Astralis has great firepower on top of their strats, mibr didn't win against Astralis not just for TACO being awful but because of their lack of practice, this is their first event. Which also played on their favour as Astralis didn't know much about how the team plays, but even still this is clearly not the best Mibr we'll see this year. Not every team has enough firepower to win big lans, every team has possible upgrades except for Astralis and Liquid that are n1 and n2... Thing is that teams that should have enough firepower to win tournaments are doing pretty bad, mibr, navi, liquid, faze, they are all doing so shit that they let ENCE with like Sergej and allu as their only two players that are good on their own to get into the final of a major. (not faze n mibr exactly but yeah u get the point) For every other team I can see upgrades on firepower that are either going to happen after the next major / on the next few months, or will lose their really good players and keep a decent core of players looking for other stars. Again, there's not enough firepower for EVERY team, astralis is just way too good and that's fair, but for teams like BIG, Ence, Mousesports (old), HellRaisers, Nip, fnatic, north, name whoever, every one of those teams have lacking firepower just on paper. Then you add strats which make teams like BIG or ENCE to actually show as good/decent teams (ofc big with smooya) and you can win games or take series from teams with more firepower but that suck more dick strats wise. The problem here for both ENCE and BIG is that in the end their lack of firepower will come back to bite them one or two events after, yeah they get the one event where they're in the final of a major, then they'll get fucked by Astralis or Liquid or Na'Vi or Mibr in the next one... That's just how it's always been. Also sorry for my message being so fucking long but I have autism and I'm not paying attention so my brain is just going anywhere, I don't blame you for not reading and if anything... My TL;DR: Not every team has enough firepower to win lans, strats help to compensate but given more events their lack of firepower is gonna fuck em, that's why, not now, roster changes are necessary.

FaZe is playing like shit, mibr looks better than ence, same as both liquid and na'vi, mousesports got a hit when both ropz and sunny dropped their level and they had to do roster changes because they sucked dick at the minor. The problem here is that you're basing the entire scene out of one tournament only, next tournament ENCE is gonna get raped in the ass by either NRG or mibr and then people will maybe shut the fuck up a little and realize that they actually lack in firepower. They need an upgrade, not right now, but after they play 3 or 4 more events a crack will show, this is their first actually big tournament and they got through to the final just to get ass fucked by Astralis, which should've happened in quarters, tbh, liquid just choked, but what else can you expect :). Maybe worded it poorly, but I meant that Sergej is the player you don't want to move even if he doesn't get good events. As in if you're not making moves you're just expecting him to turn into a top 5 player or something. Otherwise this team just can't win big tournaments really, Astralis won't really give them chances, mibr probably will look only better with time, same with Liquid there, and Na'Vi could've won that Mirage game even if simple had the handicaps.

Dude if they wanned now to switch a player with sunny, who would it be. Everyone does good their role, and they are feeling good together. For one year ago they was in top200 now in top4. Sunny is fore sure better than every one on that team, but taking him into that team will make them worse. They have already played together for so long. Look what happend to Sk when fnx left. They had players that was individal better than fnx, but they started to lose everything. The best steps forward they should do, is to make them play compatibil, play some more t1 tournaments to make them feel good in the head playing against teams like Astralis.

If sergej would become main awp, allu went to support/clutch/secondary-awp/veteran-backbone-of-the-team, ropz and sunny rifle stars. This lineup would be absolute bonkers and would easily dethrone astralis. Allu actually said in the recent ence document that he's not trying so hard to improve as a player anymore, so that role would actually be fitting for him. Obviously ropz is out of reach for ence at least, so this is just fantasy.
