NiP withdraw from WESG Finals

NiP have decided against attending the upcoming WESG World Finals, the Swedish organisation have announced.

On Twitter, NiP cited "personal reasons" for the withdrawal and apologised to WESG and the team's fans, adding that more information will be released "soon".

NiP, who had been invited directly by WESG, are now the fifth team to pull out of the event, following the withdrawals of Isurus, MVP PK, K23 and ENCE.

Personal reasons will see NiP skip the WESG Finals

The Swedish giants were last seen at the IEM Katowice Major, reaching the playoffs before succumbing to eventual champions Astralis in the quarter-finals.

The WESG World Finals will be held from March 11-17 in Chongqing, China, with $890,000 on offer. With NiP's withdrawal, Group A now features just three teams, G2, Revolution and Singularity.

Below you can find the updated groups for the event:

Group C
Brazil MIBR
Poland AGO

2019-03-08 03:50
The seedlings of the teams was Fucking disgusting. Every year they try to get the Low teams in the knockout stage when they fucking blow. It’s probably the most rigged tournament in counterstrike, not to mention it seems like half the teams can’t even fucking get into the country. China in 2019 XDXD
2019-03-07 22:23
imo the main aim of this tournament is to explore Alibaba's publicity in as many countries as possible, but not to hold high-quality events in e-sports. That's why they throw that much into the prizepool and feelin worth of it at the same time. So why dont you just watch Sli S7 instead of that unprofessional piece of S

Why would this make a team pull out of a tournament? If the players know that the lineup is going to be changed, then perhaps they'll play without pressure and do surprisingly well. The players who know they're being replaced may feel like they have a point to prove and perform better than they have been for months. I'm pretty sure this was a big factor in Fnatic doing so well this time last year when they won Katowice and WESG. They already decided they were going to replace Golden and showed up at the events with no pressure.

its possible to be a roster change... they want to take this time to pracc maybe or to feel comfortable and the new PLAYER might not be able to get his visa as fast... or maybe some player cant go and its not possible to get a visa in this time

What's professional on a tournament that have teams called "wardell n'friends"? Is that a street coffee lan? Being professional was what made Ence and NiP withdraw from this garbage

that's the team's problem, not the tournament's. and quit after promising is not professional.

Of course it isn't... Maybe we could get all the pro teams playing on nearest street coffee lan against any other matchmaking quintet. I wouldn't mind to try and headshot dev or gtr ...

Hate? What are you kid? 10? Or just pleine stupid? How come you go from "joke" to "hate"? You are a joke. Does that mean I hate you? Please grow up and read a couple of books... You'll see some brain and knowledge improvement...

LMAO typical SK/mibr to enter a tier 50 tournament with teams like ''Wardel'n friends'' and not be embarrassed. These favelas have no shame, they'd enter closed tier 100 tourneys if they were allowed. Can't win tier 1's so have to resort to fighting against top 15 and below, phaha.
