NeiL_M joins x-kom as coach
x-kom have announced that they have appointed Neil "NeiL_M" Murphy as the new coach of their CS:GO squad.
The Irish coach will step into the shoes of Adrian "imd" Pieper, who was relieved of his duties last week, becoming the first foreigner to guide a Polish CS:GO team.
NeiL_M, who was recently in Poland bootcamping with x-kom's squad, had been on the lookout for a new challenge since November, when he stepped down from Imperial after guiding the team to success at Copenhagen Games and DreamHack Open Summer.
He came close to moving to the United States at the start of the year but the deal fell through. In x-kom, he will communicate in English during tactical pauses, but the team will stick to Polish as their main language inside the server.
"Since I left Imperial, I had been looking for a project I would like to be a part of, and it seems that x-kom is what I was looking for," he said in a statement.
"A young team with strong support from the organisation, just like in Imperial."
x-kom, who are currently ranked 47th in the world, have been invited to compete at Good Game League 2019, a +$110,000 event that will be held in July in Poznan.
With NeiL_M's addition, the Polish team now have:
Daniel "STOMP" Płomiński
Krzysiek "Goofy" Gorski
Oskar "oskarish" Stenborowski
Michał "mono" Gabszewicz
Grzegorz "jedqr" Jędras
