mousesports invited to IEM Sydney
The new mousesports squad have secured an invite to IEM Sydney, the organizers have announced.
The news comes less than 24 hours following the organization's announcement of their new lineup, which saw Finn "karrigan" Andersen, Özgür "woxic" Eker, and David "frozen" Čerňanský join up with Robin "ropz" Kool and Chris "chrisJ" de Jong.
2019 will mark the second year in a row for the German organization's attendance at IEM Sydney, as their previous roster competed at 2018's event and placed third-fourth following a loss to Astralis in the semi-finals.
IEM Sydney will run from April 30 to May 5, with the tournament's playoffs being held at the Qudos Arena on the last three days.
With mousesports' addition, the team list looks as follows:
Three more teams are yet to receive direct invites, while the remaining five will come from qualifiers in Asia and Oceania. Swole Patrol's slot is likely to go to eUnited, who have since acquired the majority of the roster who qualified for the event back in February.
