Epsilon defeat Nemiga to qualify for Charleroi Esports

Epsilon join Sprout as the second team to progress through the European open qualifiers to claim a spot at Charleroi Esports following a 2-0 victory over Nemiga in the grand final.

The international squad progressed to the grand final after beating AVEZ 2-0 in the semi-final, with Nils "k1to" Gruhne notably putting up an incredible 1.90 rating across the series. Joining Epsilon in the grand final was Nemiga, who took down Polish side Izako Boars 2-1 in the other semi-final.

Surreal & co will attend Charleroi Esports

A dominant first map on Inferno from Epsilon saw the international lineup recover from a 5-1 deficit to win 15 rounds consecutively and secure a 16-5 scoreline. Nemiga stepped up their game going into Cache, winning their CT side 8-7. An Igor "lollipop21k" Solodkov 4k in the second half pistol proved futile as Epsilon went on to put up another great streak of nine rounds, closing out the map at 16-11.

With Epsilon’s qualification, the team list for Charleroi Esports, taking place from April 12-14 in Charleroi, Belgium, currently looks as follows:

The full team list for the tournament is yet to be completed as the Asian open qualifier is still to take place and an additional team is still to be invited.

I have no idea how to edit a comment but I'd just like to say thank you for this incredible opportunity. This is the first time ever reaching the top of hltv comments and, although there was a degree of luck to this, I will still cherish this moment my whole life. Edit: I can edit this one but not the original one. Huh

Yep. It´ll be interesting. We´ll see what team they´ll invite, too. Hope FURIA (they aren´t in g2 and vitality´s level, but it´ll be good for their evolution).

Sprout men. EZ Sprout. Ok actually i don't think this, but as a biased b*tch i'd like to see dis.

Sprout has good results, recently. But, we´ll have to wait to see them on a LAN against these types of teams (g2, vitality).
2019-03-20 14:38
Well they lost 3-16 to Vitality in the MDL just a week ago. They will have to improve a little bit if they want to atleast have a chance on LAN against this teams. I think qualifying was already a success for them, everything else is a bonus. I honestly wonder why the competition in the open qualifiers wasn't more stacked. The prizepool is similar to DH Open Tournaments but DH Qualifiers seem to have 'better' teams in attendance.
