Swole Patrol seek organisation ahead of ESL Pro League S9

Swole Patrol are on the lookout for an organisation to represent at ESL Pro League Season 9 Americas and beyond, Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro has announced.

Zellsis and Braxton "swag" Pierce are the only remaining members of the Swole Patrol squad that qualified for EPL after winning the ESEA MDL S29 Finals, with the former having returned to the team after his brief trial with Cloud9 at the start of the year.

The duo will be joined by Michael "dapr" Gulino and Gage "Infinite" Green, both of whom have been playing for the team in recent weeks. On Wednesday, Swole Patrol took part in the North American open qualifier for DreamHack Masters Dallas, losing to Luminosity in the quarter-finals with Will "dazzLe" Loafman acting as a stand-in.

Swole Patrol will attend the EPL Americas event, next month

Rounding out the roster is Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik, who has been on the lookout for a new team since being replaced by Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir in Ghost in January. After filling in for eUnited in the IEM Sydney qualifiers, the Canadian player attended the WESG Finals with WARDELL N Friends, averaging a team-high 1.27 rating.

Swole Patrol will be competing in ESL Pro League Season 9 Americas, kicking off April 12, with the following roster:

United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
United States Braxton "swag" Pierce
United States Michael "dapr" Gulino
United States Gage "Infinite" Green
Canada Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik

United States Danny "fRoD" Montaner (coach)

t3 is enough for NA Pro League
2019-03-21 13:20
Is it neccessary to be toxic? Just because Ence had 1 good run doesnt mean they're T1. Everyone has to start somewhere and grind. T3 is better than your MM dmg rank / Faceit lvl 5 , right? Also they have salary , meanwhile you play just to waste time.
2019-03-21 13:48

dont care, they play in no namer scene. I could move to america with my dmg mm rank, train for week and get same salary and results than these guys. Scene is joke. Couple good teams but they cant reach the top

NA scene is definitely underdeveloped but slowly it is gaining on EU and CIS
2019-03-21 16:26
I mean if you look at this way EU is up top but CIs isn’t much of any better... NA has more top players than the CIS region does auti, elige, twistzz, NAF, stew, nitro, nahtE, Tarik, nitr0, Brehze, and rush. Thats a good scene with a lot of potential and don’t forget two up and comers s0m and Tenz

In reality CIS is about as good as NA if being honest. Dont agree with rush maybe but I would add stanislaw, one of the better IGL's for sure

+1 to all of this
2019-03-21 16:27
No one thinks NA CS is good so it can't be overrate. What are you talking about
2019-03-21 16:27
Tottaly disagreeing with your statement ; The whole point is that CIS is filled with talents that unlike NA don’t get appreciated as much, lower salaries; difficault leagues to get to the major and mafia. As a matter of fact a team like Gambit would have been very successful with Zeus and Kane; however for some dumb reason they decided to move to NaVi again and not improve the youth of the scene. This is very popular in CIS scene, dumb moves by the organizations that destroys the young generation stepping into the scene.

Saying NA is overrated != NA is bad.

Subroza and dapr just dont seem to be going anywhere. They change teams all the time with little to no results and get kicked But the other 3 have potential imo

Definitely. Unfortunately Swag can't participate on majors so no bright future there. 70% of the NA teams can't even reach the minor yet don't sign him because of this.. sad story

Very unsure what to make of this. There's obvious pluses and negatives to this... They need to get rid of Infinite... After the incident which cost Infinite his spot on C9, this could also be detrimental to them getting picked up by any [reputable] organization. Definitely a misstep on their part to jump right into things. Not much they can do about Brax in order to circumvent his ban from Majors, which, again, is a major setback to a good org picking them up - because there's 0 potential for a Major advertisement potential. With an EPL spot, this is HUGE for orgs to take interest in. That said, their best chance would be to survive this EPL season, drop brax and infinite (while maintaining a new core) and pick up two solid players and I'm sure they'll pick up a decent org. Obviously I could be completely wrong, and I hope I am, but only time will tell. Pluses: - Skill potential to compete - ESL ProLeague spot. Downside: - Infinite's outlandish and quite frankly, blacklisting behavior. - Brax's VALVE ban. My two cents.
