North qualify for ECS Season 7 Finals over Vitality

North dropped the first map against Vitality, Cache (2-16), but turned it around on Inferno (16-5) and Nuke (16-14) to qualify for the ECS Season 7 Finals.

Week 2 of ECS Season 7 saw several returning teams from the first week of play in Virtus.pro, LDLC, North, and the two teams seeded from the Pinnacle Cup, forZe and AVANGAR, while the newcomers this time around were fnatic, mousesports, and Vitality.

To make it to the final, North beat Virtus.pro and AVANGAR in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, 2-1 and 2-0, respectively, while Vitality beat LDLC and mousesports, dropping a map to the latter on their way to the last match of the second week of ECS Season 7.

North will be at the ECS Season 7 Finals

The final kicked off as a one-sided affair with Vitality winning their map pick, Cache, 16-2, but North then did the same to the French side, winning their pick, Inferno, 16-5, to send the match to Nuke, the decider.

On Nuke, North took an 11-4 lead at the half, and although it seemed like Vitality were going to come back after getting ahead late in the map, it was finally the Danes who ended up winning four rounds in a row to seal the deal, 16-14.

North join their compatriots, Astralis, as the second team to qualify for the ECS Season 7 Finals from the Europe region, and the third team overall counting Rogue, who took the first North American spot last week.

Dont agree for RpK he has way more impact than Alex. Really important in CT side but quite disapearing in T side in my opinion. Alex looks like he has a lack of confidence it's really weird.

Yeah because North actually had a great T-side, despite losing a lot of rounds. They always killed 3 Vitality members, so they could reset them at the most important point in the match.

Absolutely. The rounds Vitality won usually came at the expense of at least three teammates. I think on Nuke they won the first 6 CT rounds before North took the 7th and it basically reset them because cash was so low.
