device clinches BLAST Pro Series São Paulo MVP award
Nicolai "device" Reedtz is the winner of the BLAST Pro Series São Paulo Most Valuable Player award by HLTV.org and betway.
The Astralis superstar earned the medal after leading the Danish powerhouse to their second title in 2019 with a tournament-high 1.35 rating across eight maps played throughout the event.
device's consistency shone over the course of the Brazilian tournament, as he put in 1.00+ ratings on all maps and placed first in several leaderboards aside from average rating, including ADR (88.1), KPR (0.86), DPR (0.56), and AWP kills per round (0.45), among others.
Although the AWPer had been the leading candidate before the final, he confirmed his position in the title decider as one of the best performers of the series (1.30 rating), beating his teammate Emil "Magisk" Reif and some of his last opponents, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, Jake "Stewie2K" Yip, and Nick "nitr0" Cannella to the accolade.
This is the 23-year-old's first MVP medal of 2019 and his eighth in the span of the last 10 months, which increases his total count to 13 awards, the most out of any player in CS:GO.
