ESL Pro League Season 9 Asia groups determined

The ESL Pro League S9 Asia qualifiers have come to a close, with four teams advancing to the next stage.

The conclusion of the EPL Asia sub-region qualifiers saw MVP PK and 5POWER advance to the main qualifier through the Chinese qualifier, while BOOT-d[S], Alpha Red and Lucid Dream progressed from the Southeast Asia closed bracket.

MVP PK and 5POWER will be joining invited duo TYLOO and ViCi in the Chinese group, while BOOT-d[S] and the Thai pair will be competing against India Premiership winner Entity in the Southeast Asia group.

MVP PK through to the main Asia qualifier

The top two teams from both groups will face off against each other in a second group, with the winner securing entry into the ESL Pro League Finals, which will be held in Montpellier, France, from June 18-23.

Below you can find the two groups for the tournament:

They will lay low then qualify easily for berlin major. After that who knows but you dont get a sick logo like that without making it big time.
2019-03-27 02:17

south east asia is group b and east asia (including china) is group a. SEA cs is far behind than eastern asia whichhh makes these groups some what fair instead of seeing chinese team dominate the groups :/

only in one map they played decent. But still they lost, even though they had a lead. I hope Signify will win the next season of ESL India Premiership and perform better in ESL Pro League, at least better than what Entity performs against Asian teams..

Unless you play against these top tier asian teams regularly, maybe lose a few, they will never get used to their skills and rise up to their level. When you play top tiers for the first time or once in a while, you have nerves, you have tension, you have the fear. But when you start to play em regularly, you will get to their level one day or the other. At least, I hope they do.

Chinese/East Asia CS >>>>>> SEA CS. They did a perfect job in sorting these teams out, to make sure these teams are not the only one to advance to next rounds.

So you agree the WEAKEN the tournament in order to see WORSE teams advancing instead of the ones that deserve (the better ones)?

You are correct in that sense. But the winner will obviously the one which is better. Also as some of the users said above, they might also have done so in order to reduce ping issues in the start of the tournament.
2019-03-27 06:09
It's because if they play in the SEA group they will have ping issues , so it's sorted according to the region's .
