FaZe player Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács will not be able to play on the first day of StarSeries i-League Season 7 due to visa issues, HLTV.org has learned.

Team coach Janko "⁠YNk⁠" Paunović will be entering the server for the opening clash against paiN, with the Slovakian AWPer expected to arrive in Shanghai on Sunday morning, in time for FaZe's second match of the tournament.

GuardiaN has been a vital part of FaZe this year, earning an MVP medal at the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational for his role in the team's title-winning campaign in Atlanta.

GuardiaN will not take part in FaZe's first match in Shanghai

Tsvetelin "⁠CeRq⁠" Dimitrov was also at risk of missing StarSeries before NRG announced on Wednesday that the Bulgarian's visa application process had finally been accepted by Chinese authorities.

StarSeries i-League Season 7 will run from March 30 through April 7 with $500,000 on the line. FaZe are regarded as one of the favourites for the tournament, where they could face six other top 10 teams: ENCE, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Renegades, North and Vitality.
