GamerLegion sign Uruguay team
Germany-based coaching platform GamerLegion has announced its entrance into the competitive realm with the signing of the Uruguay line-up.
Created in February to much fanfare with two-time top 20 player of the year star Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, Uruguay have been climbing through the ranks in recent weeks and currently sit just outside the top 50 in the rankings.
Shortly after going public, Uruguay lost one of their key pieces as William "draken" Sundin was snatched by Ninjas in Pyjamas, but the team held on and continued competing, with Denis "grux" Gutaj and Tim "nawwk" Jonasson acting as stand-ins.

The latter will now be completing the roster on a permanent basis after he was bought out of his contract with x6tence by GamerLegion - a move that comes as a massive boost to the team. The 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most promising players hailing from his country and played an instrumental role in x6tence Galaxy's semi-final run at DreamHack Winter with a 1.20 rating.
In a statement, team captain Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans spoke of his happiness to have finally found an organisation to represent and of his first challenge as the in-game leader of an international line-up after spending his career in French-speaking teams.
"I am super happy to start a new adventure under Team GamerLegion," the Belgian tactician said.
"This is my first international team and there‘s a lot of work ahead of us since we start from zero, especially for me since it's my first time calling in English.
"I‘m ready for this challenge and can't wait to climb the ranks!"
The team will make their first appearance under GamerLegion this weekend, at the United Masters League Finals, which will be held in Osnabrück, Germany. Ex6TenZ's troops will be taking on Valiance in the semi-finals of the this $100,000 tournament, which will also feature Sprout and WESG champions Windigo.
GamerLegion have also been invited to play at Charleroi Esports, where the two Belgian members, ScreaM and Ex6TenZ, will have the chance to play in front of their home crowd.
GamerLegion have the following line-up:
Hampus "hampus" Poser
Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom
Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans
Kevin "HS" Tarn
Tim "nawwk" Jonasson
Christian "chrille" Lindberg (coach)
