Na`Vi, Spirit enter 2-1 pool at StarSeries S7

Natus Vincere and Spirit are one victory away from the playoffs at StarSeries i-League Season 7 after beating NiP and TYLOO, respectively, both by 2-1 scorelines.

Round two's main-stream match, featuring two top 10 sides in Natus Vincere (No.4) and NiP (No.6), began on Dust2, the Ukrainians' map choice. They quickly came to regret that pick, though, as a strong start from NiP on the Terrorist side saw them take the opening five rounds of the game.

Na`Vi tigthened up their defence after that false start and twice brought the deficit to just two rounds, but NiP ran all over the CTs in the final stages of the half to take a 10-5 lead.

The Ukrainian team came out strongly from the break and easily broke through the NiP defence during the early stages of the half. The Swedes were constantly kept off any economic development and saw their lead shrink to just one round, but then they took control of proceedings and put together a string of rounds to secure the map, with William "draken" Sundin dealing the finishing blow with a trio of kills in an A hold.

Next up was Nuke, which began with a well-coordinated A execute by NiP. Na`Vi rallied back immediately, though, and set up a water-tight defence, hitting double digits without losing any more rounds. The Ninjas finally broke that streak in the 12th round on a shoddy buy and kept the pace high in the dying stages of the half, bringing the scoreline to 4-11.

NiP kept themselves in the game after winning a messy pistol and the first full gun round, with Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg then coming up huge with a 1v2 clutch to deny Natus Vincere an eco victory. The Ninjas would not be able to contain the Terrorists much longer, though, as Na`Vi took control of proceedings and hit map point off the back of a beautiful ace from Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, who clutched what looked to be an impossible 1v3 situation with just 12 seconds left on the clock.

Na`Vi surprisingly lost some steam after that and allowed NiP to find a way back into the game before a trio of kills by Egor "flamie" Vasilyev in the 29th round put the game to bed.

It all came down to Mirage, Na`Vi raced to a 6-1 lead with a great start on the Terrorist side. NiP then made a slight climb back into the map as they won two rounds in a row, but the rest of the half was all about Na`Vi, who took a 12-3 lead after winning a series of close rounds.

A 1v2 clutch by f0rest in the following pistol still gave NiP fans some hope, but the Swedes were bullied by s1mple in the following round, with Na`Vi using that momentum to close out the map, 16-4.

Meanwhile, on the secondary stream, Spirit also came back from a map down to win their series, against local representative TYLOO. The Chinese side picked up a convincing 16-9 Mirage victory after shutting down any chances of their opponents stringing rounds together, with HaoWen "somebody" Xu ending the game with 31 kills - over twice as many as any of his teammates.

Spirit march on in Shanghai

Spirit responded with a 16-6 success on Inferno, where Artem "iDISBALANCE" Egorov topped the scoreboard with a 1.72 rating, before completing the reverse sweep on Overpass to join the 2-1 pool and put TYLOO on the brink of elimination in Shanghai.

Na`Vi, you are a professional team, stop acting like you are tier8 stack of friends who plays some "beer-cup" in nearby computer-club. 1. Stop tilting. Play ALWAYS calm. Look at other top teams like Astralis. They are always calm. It is one of their biggest keys of success and one of yours reasons of your losts. 2. Stop arguing during the match. Players may suggest some rounds if Zeus asks, but when Zeus says something - do it. If it was a mess by him, speak with him about that AFTER f*cking tournament or at least after this game. 3. Pay respect to EVERY member of the team and believe in everyone, don't blame someone for mistakes, cuz you may do same mistake soon and you would feel that pain, when your teammate blames you because of simple mistake. 4. S1mple. You are the best player at the moment and probably gonna be the best ever. But it doesn't mean that you got to act like you are the King and your teammates are your puppets. Stop these shitty tweets like "what a sh*t show by us", cuz it looks like you say something like "Oh, Jesus I'm so good, but those noobs... I'm tired". You may ask, why is it looking like that, but it does look like that, believe me... 4. Zeus, stop being so emotional. Control yourself. If you cannot control yourself, how you gonna control whole team and your team's game? What the heck?!?! Na`Vi, you have AMAZING potential as a team, how can't you see that? You got AMAZING players. But your mental mistakes always keep you back. Na`Vi's biggest mistakes: 1. Communication between players. It looks like you don't have any discipline, guys. 2. You guys, are easy to tilt. Stop it ffs. Always stay calm whatever happens and try your best. And you gonna be shocked how good can you play. 3. Respect to each other. You guys are playing so many time with each other, I understand that people usually start to be "not so friendly" to each other after such period of time. But guys, you are PROFESSIONAL TEAM, just stop it and pay respect TO ANY teammate! Without respect you have 0 believing and without believing you will never win something huge. You got 2nd places on Majors so many times. 4. You overrate your opponent or result of the important matches. I mean, you must stay calm in any game, in any stage of any tournament. You lost to ENCE because you were scared as f**k in my opinion. 5. Your teamplay sometimes is weird. You lose so many eco rounds because of eco-hunting or bad anti-eco rounds. P.S. Sorry admins for big post, but I want express all this. Sorry that I didin't write here usual posts like "1st" or "gg" and I hope you won't delete it! Thank you.
