Valiance book DreamHack Open Summer spot

Valiance have qualified for DreamHack Open Summer 2019 after defeating Winstrike 2-0 in the grand final of the European qualifier.

The Europe Closed Qualifier featured four invited and four qualified teams in a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket. Valiance defeated Syman and forZe to get to the grand final while Winstrike took down Sprout and AGO.

Mirage was the first map in the grand final, with the Serbian team starting on the CT-side and winning nine rounds in the first half. Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas and company finished off the map with a 16-12 final score to go 1-0 ahead in the series.

Valiance won the grand final 2-0

The first half on Inferno was hotly contested, with the CT-sided Winstrike finishing one round ahead of Valiance at halftime. Valiance went on a seven-round streak in the second half to close it out, winning the map 16-11 and taking the 2-0 series victory.

With this victory, Valiance have joined Ancient in the DreamHack Open Summer team list, which will be rounded out by six invited sides. The event will be held on June 15-17 in Jönköping, Sweden with a $100,000 prize pool.

that also includes 16 events (out of 19) from HAVU where 13 of them were local finnish LANs with 2nd biggest prizepool LAN being $20,322 Nordic Championship in Sweden. Only decent sized LAN was SL-i Shanghai where he had 1.05 rating. hltv.org/stats/players/compare/11283/ott..

i am aware. that givesus two conclusions: 1-he can performon lan 2- cant be judged for his lan performance because he doesnt have any. 3- on non local lans including the major qualifiers he never went negative.

1. irrelevant considering on 4 of his biggest LANs his performance was way lower than his online performances which is what I'm talking about. his current online&LAN opponents are stronger than his past LAN opponents meaning his LAN stats are extremely inflated. 2. we just confirmed he has plenty? 16 LANS (shanghai) + 2 $100k events and minor in valiance. 3. so? rating 2.0 actual average is closer to 1.04 so he had less impact than average player. also he's the AWPer. most other AWPers on similar level teams have far more impact yet he's 2nd worst player on valiance on LAN only slightly better than letn1. If you want to compare similar ranked AWPers from Europe: north - jugi (cadian removed for not being good enough), G2 - kennys, AVANGAR - jame, Windigo - poizon, Vitality - zywoo, Hellraisers - oskar, mousesports - woxic, BIG - tabsen, sprout - syrson, forze - xsepower. ottond on LAN is one of the worst AWPers at this level.
