Hiko announces free agency
In a Twitter post, the 29-year-old wrote that he is currently looking for a new team to represent and is also open to discussing business opportunities as he assesses his options after Rogue pulled the plug on their CS:GO squad.
Hiko is the only player from the last Rogue line-up who remains teamless, with Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen having returned to Denmark to play for OpTic, and Daniel "vice" Kim and Hunter "SicK" Mims having been recruited by Cloud9 and Complexity, respectively.
During his long tenure with Rogue, which lasted almost two years, Hiko most notably helped the team to qualify for the FACEIT Major - where they went out 1-3 in the New Challengers Stage - and to reach the final at DreamHack Open Austin 2018.
The news of Rogue's players going their separate ways came as a shock to many as the team had only recently qualified for StarSeries i-League Season 7 and for the ECS Season 7 Finals, reaching the fifth spot in the North America regional ranking. The team also held an ESL Pro League license, which was since transferred to Luminosity.
