ECS S7 Week 4 set to kick off with FaZe, Liquid in action

The fourth week of ECS Season 7 is set to kick off, featuring some big names across both divisions.

As ECS enters its fourth week of play, the league will no longer offer spots at the LAN Finals to the winners of the single-elimination bracket tournaments; instead, the last two participants will be determined by the aggregate prize money obtained over the course of the season.

Will FaZe make some changes before their game?

In the first three weeks of the European league, Astralis, North and Vitality emerged on top of the opposition, thus securing participation at the finals. Over in North America, NRG and FURIA secured grand final victories in weeks two and three, respectively, while Complexity were admitted to the finals in London as a result of week one victors Rogue's withdrawal from the league due to roster dissolution.

Below are the current prize pool standings for ECS Season 7 :

The opening round of Europe week four will be highlighted by a face-off between FaZe and Virtus.pro. Rumours have circulated around the possible addition of Filip "NEO" Kubski to the FaZe starting roster, which would make for an exciting pairing in the context of the Pole facing his former long-time teammate Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski.

Below are the opening match-ups for ECS Season 7 Week 4 - Europe:

Things will heat up in North America very quickly with three top 10 teams in action, including the current No.2 team in the world, Liquid, who will be entering the bracket brimming with confidence after a title-winning campaign at IEM Sydney. A series to look out for in the opening round will be Cloud9 versus Luminosity. The teams recently faced off in a close best-of-three series at ESL Pro League Season 9, in which the North American side came out on top after three close maps.

the winners will qualify to the finals or the other 2 teams left to qualify will do it by money earned?
2019-05-13 14:22

no, it's all about the money earned through that tournament If I understand correctly but I don't get why NRG is still playing for instance...

what is it that you don't understand? It's 12k for the first place so they can still qualify, just like any other team

and take away a chance to qualify for some other team? they shouldn't even be allowed to play this week, that's what I meant
2019-05-13 15:59
I guess so, and maybe they wanna play some sort of arbitrary team to prevent others from qualifying ^^
2019-05-13 15:59

Probably they want to get rid of mibr and liquid
2019-05-13 18:03
Maybe they want to get rid of mibr and liquid in the finals, they want to beat these teams so mibr and liquid can't get enough money to qualify

There shouldnt be one more week. 6 teams have already made it to ECS finals, and its a 8 team tournament. So this should be the last week.
