StarLadder reveal invites for Asia Minor closed qualifiers in China and Oceania

StarLadder have announced the invited teams to the Asia Minor closed qualifiers in China, for which eight sides have been extended an invitation, and Oceania, which sees four teams enter the fray.

The Oceanic closed qualifier will take place on June 1-3, with a total of eight teams battling for two spots at the Asia Minor, four of which have received a direct invitation while four will come from a couple of open qualifiers held from May 19-23.

Unsurprisingly, three of the biggest names in the region, Grayhound, ORDER, and Paradox, have secured an invite to the closed qualifier, with rewound locking down the final spot reserved for invites.

Grayhound are set to fight for one of two spots at the Asia Minor at the beginning of June

The Chinese closed qualifier will run later that week, on June 6-8, with a total of 16 teams pitted against each other in a fight for two more spots at the Asia Minor.

TYLOO and ViCi, who were unable to secure a top-14 placing at IEM Katowice to retain a spot at the next Major, headline the list of invited teams alongside 5POWER's new lineup, who recently added Bin "Savage" Liu and Lei "bottle" Mao.

The full list of invited teams in each region's closed qualifier looks as follows:

UPDATE: StarLadder has updated the invite list for Oceania, replacing Chiefs with Paradox.

Wow that's nice, NOW I REALLY WISH YOU WOULD ACTUALLY RELEASE THE FUCKING MAJOR TICKETS TOO Seriously, ticket sales were supposed to start last month but instead all we have is a complete radio silence from starladder. Berlin is one of the biggest tourist traps in Europe, would be nice if people had a chance to buy their tickets so they could actually book the flights and hotels early on
2019-05-18 10:37
If you know where to go in Berlin its not so big a tourist trap
2019-05-18 10:39
well that's true and I'm personally staying at my friends place during the major so it's not an issue for me, but what I meant was that the earlier you can book the hotels and flights the cheaper it will most likely be
2019-05-18 10:57
I can recomend to book a hotel outside Berlin in Cities like Erkner, Königs Wusterhausen because they are a lot cheaper and you travel like 10 to 15min to get to the arena via train

2 teams from each goes to minor tho vs eu 8, comparing it straight seems pretty much pointless anyway, comparison will make more sense looking actual asia minor vs eu minor when teams are decided (obviously it will also be very one sided yes xD)
